The first semi-final of Eurovision Song Contest took place Tuesday night, and the public were introduced to the first ten finalists. The betting odds saw a quick rise of some countries after their performances, and the fall of others.

After last night’s semi-final, betting odds have changed in Sweden’s favour which has passed Armenia and is now the hot favourite to win the contest. Sanna Nielesen and Aram MP3 have both been first and second in the betting odds with Aram MP3 seeing a little more success than Sanna previously. However, the performances Tuesday evening saw Sanna overtake Aram MP3 for the first time. The Netherlands also saw great success, moving to the third spot, followed by Ukraine at fourth and United Kingdom at fifth.

This is the first time The Netherlands has seen such support of their entry in over a decade.

Things could change again tonight, as the second semi-final is set to air throughout Europe. We will have coverage at the event, so stay tuned to esctoday.com.
