Austrian representative Conchita Wurst took some time touring Copenhagen, and offered Eurovision fans at the Euro Fan Cafe a special performance.

During her tour, Conchita stopped by the famous mermaid, where she expressed that despite being told not to expect much of the statue, she found the mermaid is beautiful and the fact that the Eurovision Song Contest Hall is located right behind the statue, has made the whole thing even bigger.

Later in the day, Conchita and her team stopped by the fan hotspot, the Euro Fan Cafe, where she delighted the audience with a special performance of her Eurovision entry Rise like a phoenix, along with her other single That’s what I am, and Cher’s hit Believe.

Conchita documentaries on their way

Austrian broadcaster ORF has also announced that two documentaries are on their way, highlighting Conchita’s journey to Copenhagen, and another follows Conchita’s personal life and the experiences she encounters along the way.

Conchita: her road to Copenhagen will air on ORF on 8 May at 20:15, just before the second semi-final. The documentary promises lots of drama as intense preparations are made, and how her interactions with both fans and critics helped to shape her experience.

Conchita: just personally will air on ORF on 10 May at 20:15, right before the live Grand Final. This documentary will showcase the transformation from Tom Neuwirth to Conchita Wurst, including meeting her parents for the first time as Conchita. She will also meet with locals, the Danish ambassador to Austria, ORF Eurovision Song Contest spokesperson Andi Knoll, and even a group of young Danes in the Austrian capital of Vienna, where they will discuss the upcoming contest, and find out what Conchita should expect when she arrives in Copenhagen.

For fans interested in watching the programmes live, the streams will be available on the ORF website at the times listed above.
