Verka Serduchka, the runner-up at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, is set to recreate her Eurovision performance for a Hollywood film.

Verka and her dancers will perform Dancing lasha tumbai as it was performed at the 2007 contest in Helsinki as part of the film Spy.

The comedy film will star Melissa McCarthy as a secret agent, and other members of the cast include the likes of Jude Law, Jason Statham and 50 Cent.

The film is slated for a 2015 release date and it will be directed by Paul Feig, who has previously worked on TV shows such as The Office (US), Nurse Jackie, Arrested Development and the hit film Bridesmaids.

Verka represented Ukraine in 2007 claiming second place, 33 points behind Serbia’s Marija Šerifović. This year Maria Yaremchuk and her song Tick-tock will represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Denmark.
