5 acts will compete in each semi final. 100 % public televoting will decide which acts will qualify for the final. A 50/50 jury – public televoting will decide the 2 acts that will battle in the grand final, whilst the 2014 Icelandic entry and representative will be selected via 100% televoting.

The national selection will take place on the following dates:

  • Semi Final One Saturday 1st February 2014
  • Semi Final Two Saturday 8th February 2014
  • Final Saturday 15th February 2014

Last year Iceland was represented by Eythor Ingi with the song Ég á líf. The song came 17th in the final.

Iceland made it’s debut in 1986. Their best result was 2nd place in 1999 and 2009 with Selma’s All out of luck and Yohanna Is it true
