Winning the contest in 2007
Marija Šerifović represented Serbia in 2007 with her song Molitva and took the victory back to her home country. Next year, Serbia successfully hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade. They once again managed to achieve a good result with the folk ballad Oro, composed by Željko Joksimović and performed by Jelena Tomasević. She brought her country the 6th place. In 2012, Željko returned for his second attempt as a performer and reached the 3rd place with Nije ljubav stvar.
