Romania: Mihai Trăistariu to return to Eurovision?

Mihai Trăistariu, who represented Romania at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with Tornerò, has recently stated that he would be willing to represent his country once again at Europe’s favourite song contest.

Despite coming 4th place at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, Mihai Trăistariu’s entry Tornerò became a hit after the contest charting in a number of countries worldwide. Now, seven years after the contest, Mihai has now revealed that he would be willing to represent his country once again at the Eurovision Song Contest.

According to spynews.ro, Mihai stated; I’ve heard there are big financial problems and it is unknown whether Romania will participate in next year’s contest […] We have to find some sponsors to support our participation in the competition. He later went on to say; If you find a song better than Tornerò, I’ll sign up. You have to feel that it’s a pretty good song; I do not want to embarrass myself and come in 13th place.
