Earlier this week we reported that Kate Ryan's Je T'adore was the second biggest selling single of the year in Flanders, now there's another huge hit from 2006 to be added to the list – Texas Lightning's No no never has wound up the second biggest selling single of the year in Germany and the most sold single by German artists.

Max' 2004 entry, Can't wait until tonight, was the 3rd biggest selling single of 2004, but other than that German entries haven't been so successful in the German charts in recent years, meaning that Texas Lightning make a break from the norm – could this be why the hugely successful acts Monrose and Roger Cicero have agreed to take part in the 2007 German final?

The 2006 winning entry, Hard rock hallelujah from Lordi, is also on the German end-of-year chart, in at #27, making it the biggest selling ESC winner there since Sertab in 2003.

The German broadcaster, NDR, will announce the 3rd act for the German national final later this month, and are claiming that it is someone of a different genre to both Monrose and Roger Cicero, to ensure a varied final. Who will it be? Rock? Dance? Rap? Watch this space!
