This morning, RTVSH, the national broadcaster of Albania, announced the list of 30 semifinalist for the 45th Festival i Kenges competition. The winner will for the fourth consecutive year, win the right to represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest.
For the fourth time, the Festival i Kenges is going to select the Albanian representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. The shows (2 semi-finals and a final) will take place at the Palast of Congress in Tirana. Previously the winner was always decided by televoting (50%) and an 'expert' jury (50%), which makes that system likely to be used again. This morning , Albanian broadcaster, RTVSH announced that the following 30 participants will sing for the right to represent Albania at the 2007 Eurvision Song Contest:

After a strong debut in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest with the song The image of you, performed by Anjeza Shahini, who finished 4th in the semi final and 7th in final, Albania only reached 16th position in Kyiv with Ledina Celo and Tomorrow I go. In the 2006 semi final, the country presented a song in their national language for the first time but didn't make it to the final: Zjarr e ftohte, sung by Luiz Ejlli, only reached a 14th place. Therefore, Albania will have to enter the semi final again in 2007.
