Three months has passed since the grand final in Malmö, but this year’s edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is still matter of news. Europe’s favorite TV Show has earned a nomination at this year’s Kristallen Awards in Sweden.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2013 and its producer, Martin Österdahl, have been nominated at the Kristallen Awards on the category of Best Entertainment Program and will compete against:

  • Hellenius Hörna, Staffan Lindberg, TV4
  • Kristallen 2012, Mikael Svensson, Kanal 5
  • Patrik möter, Olle Palmlöf, TV3
  • Så mycket bättre, Daniel Edvardsson, TV4

The Kristallen (The Crystal) are the official TV awards in Sweden, compared to the BAFTA in the United Kingdom, and the 8th edition will be held on 30 August and will recognize the best of Swedish television.

As reported before, this year’s edition also proved that the Eurovision Song Contest is still a profitable event for any city that will host it in the future. Last May, the City of Malmö earned 1.1 billion Swedish Kronor (132 million Euros).

The Eurovision Song Contest was held at the Malmö Arena on 14, 16 and 18 May.
