RTCG, the Montenegrin national broadcaster has informed esctoday.com that Montenegro will most likely participate at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest. An official confirmation is yet to be made by the Montenegrin broadcaster regarding their participation next year.

The method and mechanism Montenegro will use in order to select their Eurovision entry will be most likely an internal selection, as has been the case since its debut in 2007. Esctoday.com has learned that the broadcaster has already got a big Montenegrin star in mind to represent them next year if they are to participate. More details and information will be disclosed in due course.

Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Albania, Iceland, Ireland, San Marino, Georgia , Switzerland , The Netherlands, Estonia, Malta and Belgium have all confirmed their participation at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest next year in Denmark. Whilst Belarus and Latvia has said they will most likely be in the competition next year.

Montenegro debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 and is yet to win the event. The country has never qualified for the Eurovision final. Will 2014 be the lucky year for Montenegro?
