Belarus: Alyona arrives in Malmö and is all set for Eurovision!

Alyona Lanskaya has arrived in Malmö and has a busy schedule ahead of her!

Alyona Lanskaya   and the Belarusian delegation arrived in Sweden on Saturday and have not stopped since their arrival in the Eurovision host city. Yesterday Sunday Alyona had a full day with rehearsals and preparations for her forthcoming Eurovision participation. The Belarusian delegation didnt’t get to see much of the host city yesterday but did get to experience a little bit of the city’s flavour! Their  day began in the hotel where Alonya treated everyone with cakes and sweets to celebrate  Orthodox Easter.

Today we have orthodox Eastern in Belarus and i wanted to share this special day with all the people here in Malmö by bringing special cake from Minsk. i like Malmö so much and am looking forward to explore the town later– Alonya shared her thoughts.
At the gathering a couple of tourists from New-Caledonia approached  Alyona and wished her the very best of luck! ‘We are always watching Eurovision in New-Caledonia because of France. But now after meeting with your great and sympathic singer, we will definately cheer for Alyona and tell all our friends and family to do so‘ -One of the tourists sharedhis experience after meeting Alonya.
After that the Belarusian  team went to downtown Malmo  where Alyona had the opportunity to see some of the Eurovision city’s most famous spots and landmarks. During her short tour of the city people recognized Alyona and wished the artist the  best of luck at Eurovision. Alyona got the chance to feed some ducks who followed her throughout the evening until she went to a local restaurant !
Alyona Lanskaya will represent Belarus at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with Solayoh. Belarus will compete in the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest Semifinal 1 as song #11 on 14 May.
Belarus debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and is yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest. Their best placing was in 2007 with Koldun’s Work Your Magic. Stay tuned to Esctoday.com for the latest information on the 2013 Eurovision national selection.
