Esctoday.com is the proud media sponsor for this charity event, where Mandy Norman will be cycling all the way from London across continental Europe to attend the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö. She will be raising money for Special Olympics GB.

Mandy Norman is a Eurovision fan with two jobs, a graphic designer and cycling instructor. Now she is combining all her passions in a project that few people would even dream about taking on.

She will be joined by a friend for this journey of almost 1300 kilometres (800 miles) from her flat in North London across The Netherlands, Germany and Denmark.

While doing this she will raise money for a charity, that does not get any government or lottery funding, The Special Olympics GB.

The Special Olympics is a year-round community sports programme for all children and adults who have intellectual disabilities. It also includes a few days of events and competition throughout the year. The ethos is to promote and encourage sport – giving people opportunities, goals and dreams. It’s not all about the winning, but the taking part – being active, keeping fit, social interaction, learning new skills, pushing boundaries and most importantly having fun.

Esctoday.com is happy and proud to support Mandy in this remarkable effort, that will see her on her bike for over two weeks from 27 April until 13 May.
