In a reaction to esctoday.com, Belarusian broadcaster BTRC has confirmed its participation in the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Belarus will be taking part in the event for the third time.

The third participation of Belarus in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest is a fact. BTRC will be present in Hasselt and plans to reveal more details on the Belarusian national selections in August. So far, 14 countries have officially confirmed their participation in the third edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

At the first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003, Volha Satsuk finished fourth for Belarus with the song Tantsui. At last year's contest in Lillehammer, Egor Volchek finished 14th with the song Spjavajtse sa mnoj.
