Audio settings during the Andorran rehearsal this afternoon were not optimal. Both Marian van de Wal as well as the backing group were often singing out of tune. However, the song itself has been slightly improved and the backing vocals lift the song to a higher level.
The presence of Anabel Conde, who represented Spain at the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest, brings more attention to the Andorran delegation. However, Marian van de Wal earlier showed that she's capable of more when it concerns her vocal presentation. It might as well have been the audio settings that made it difficult to sing well, but the overall result was slightly disappointing. Better luck next time?
The act of the song has a strong and symetric choreography, which some of the journalists present described as “catchy, but a little outdated”.
Marian van de Wal, who is actually Dutch, owns a hotel in Andorra for already more than five years. She sings at her own hotel, as well as other locations. During the press conference, Marian said that she feels supported and comfortable by the idea that she is not the only Dutch singer at this event. “Glennis and I really helpful to each other”, she said.
