The Norwegian national selection, traditionally called Melodi Grand Prix (MGP), will kick off tonight with the first live heat from Steinkjer.

The programme:

Seven acts will perform live in Steinkjer and three will make it to the final in Oslo, decided by a public vote.

The next two heats will take place in Florø and Larvik. Each heat will reveal 3 finalists that will meet in Oslo Spektrum on Saturday 9 February 2013. The winner of the grand final will represent the country in Malmö in the second semi-final on 16 May.
