RTE, the Irish national broadcaster has informed esctoday.com that Ireland will be revealing the names of the 5 acts that will compete in the 2013 Irish national final at the beginning of February.

The Irish broadcaster has revealed to esctoday.com that the 5 mentors have already selected their candidates and sent in their proposals to RTE. During the following weeks the 5 mentors along with their respective candidates will be busy meeting RTE and planning for Eurosong 2013. Esctoday.com can reveal that next week a very important meeting is scheduled to take place at the RTE headquarters in Dublin, where the 5 mentors and their respective acts will be briefed in by RTE regarding the Eurosong 2013 process and the Late Late Show.

We can also reveal that the 5 Irish potential entries will be aired on radio 2 weeks prior to the 2013 Irish national final, scheduled to be held on 22 February.
