Eight acts competed tonight to reach the final of Melodifestivalen 2005 in SVT's Second Chance round. The eight songs finished third or fourth in one of the four Swedish semifinals. Alcazar and Linda Bengtzing won and proceed to the Swedish national final.
The eight Second Chance round participants did not perform live tonight. SVT aired the entries' semifinal performances and tonight's host Annika Jankell talked with the participants who gathered at the Berns Hotel in Stockholm. The televoting was again divided into two rounds.
