According to the official website of the Vice-Prime Minister of Moldova, Mihai Moldovanu, the national selection of the Eastern European country for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest will kick off on 10 December.
A special Organizing Committee was established by the Government, in order to ensure the proper representation of the Republic of Moldova on the international stage of Eurovision Song Contest. The members of this Committee are representatives of the Government, of the musical unions, music producers, specialists and the general sponsor.
Today (6 December 2012), the Committee approved the regulations of the national selection. On Monday (10 December) the Moldovan national broadcaster TRM will kick off the competition.
Moldova’s first participation in the Eurovision Song Contest was in 2005 when Zdob şi Zdub finished 6th with their cheerful number “Boonika bate doba”.
