Jedward, the eccentric Irish duo were welcomed home by 500 of their hardcore fans despite achieving a mere 19th place as opposed to the honorable 8th place they got in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest.

Upon arrival , the twins told The Mirror that they will step down and will not return to Eurovision stage but they do believe their country can win next year if they send someone like rock legend Bono or Robbie Williams.

“I think we’ll leave it to somebody else to do it next year. We’ll leave it to a new artist out there who is undiscovered.” John said but is their decision final? Edward leaves a door open: “We never know what will happen. If the President rings us up and says, ‘John and Edward, we need you. Seriously we need you guys’. Then we’ll think about it.”
