The 27th of May marks the beginning of the voting for the traditional Barbara Dex Award, the award for the worst dressed artist on the Eurovision stage every year.

The Award started in 1997 and is named after Barbara Dex, who represented Belgium in the 1993 contest wearing a distinctive dress she had designed and made herself.
Former winners include Maltese Debbie Scerri (1997), Romanian Sanda Ladosi (2004), Greek Michalis Rakintzis (2002) FYR Macedonia’s Martin Vucic (2005) and Andorra’s Gisela (2008) among others.
