We have some sad news from Greece today, Marinella the first Greek Eurovision participant has passed away today aged 87.
Marinella represented Greece at Eurovision 1974 in Brighton with her entry ‘Krasi, Thalassa Ke T’agori Mou‘. She was very first Greek Eurovision participant.
Kyriaki Papadopoulos aka Marinella was born in Thessaloniki on May 19th 1938.
Marinella had a long career in music and was amongst the most loved singers in Greece thanks to her beautiful voice and great talent.
