ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster, has unveiled the Eurovision 2026 mascot ‘AURI’ today!
The Eurovision 2026 mascot AURI was officially presented to the media and attendees today at Vienna’s City Hall. AURI will be Eurovision 2026’s and Vienna’s special ambassador who will convey the joy of togetherness.
ORF’s press release reads:
The mascot for the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna is fluffy, pink and purple, and its name is Auri. However, it’s meant to be more than just a friendly character. Auri is a colorful ambassador who conveys openness, respect, and the joy of togetherness. It’s a symbol of unity and creativity and welcomes delegations and fans from all over the world – truly “United by Music”.
Auri represents openness, respect, and the joy of togetherness, and has a clear message: to believe in yourself and pursue your dreams with the support of family and friends. The mascot is therefore aimed at people of all ages, but especially children.
A Book about Auri’s journey to the Eurovision Song Contest
A special chidlren’s book ‘Auri – The Show of His Life‘ has been published and will be available throughout Austria on the 20th of March at bookshops and 2,000 tabaconists. The book has been penned by none other than ORF’s editor and presenter Yvonne Lacina-Blaha and features illustrations by Styrian artist Herwig Holzmann.
The book is targeted for young children aged 7-12 and tell us the story of Auri’s journey to the big ESC stage and conveys themes such as friendship, courage, and confidence in one’s own creativity.

With this book, the ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) is sending a strong public value message in the field of education and literacy promotion. It aims to enable children to participate in cultural life and introduce them to the creative world of the Eurovision Song Contest. “Auri – The Show of His Life” is published by the Book Club, Austria’s largest literacy promotion organization. The book bears the Austrian Ecolabel and thus meets the highest ecological standards.
AURI goes All things Austria!
Starting from the end of March AURI will be travelling throughout Austria and is set to attend various events: the Eurovision week, Vienna City Marathon and ORF’s children’s programs and shows. Our Eurovision darling AURI will be also accompanying Yvonne Lacina-Blaha on her book tour offering unique photo opportunities and inspiring storytelling moments.

Exclusively for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, Auri has also been released as a 3D figure in a limited-edition Viennese snow globe, produced in cooperation with the Original Viennese Snow Globe Manufactory and Haratech. The 1,000 handcrafted and individually numbered pieces are available in the ORF shop. Auri is also available as a felt keychain and refrigerator magnet.
