Akylas was crowned the winner of the 2026 Greek national final with his epic entry ‘Ferto’. The 2026 Greek Eurovision entry has been composed by Akylas, papatanice, TEO.x3 and has been penned by Orpheus Nonis and Akylas .

With a dynamic, modern aesthetic and rapid image transitions, the video clip conveys the pulse and energy of the song to the screen , creating a visual narrative with a strong rhythm.
Combining emotion and humor, the shots created by Jim Georgantis (director) and San Tierrez (Vfx), put the viewer in the rhythm of “Ferto” and make them smile.
The video clip complements in the best way the song “Ferto” composed by Akylas, papatanice and TEO.x3 and the lyrics were written by Orpheus Nonis and Akylas . For the creators it is a deeply personal song , an experiential story about the path from lack to success, which presents the internal conflict between true dreams and the need to fill the emotional gaps left by childhood deprivation.
“Ferto” talks about greed and the constant need of man to acquire more and more, but at the same time it reminds us that true value lies in gratitude and in the people who stood by us . In those who believed in us when there was nothing.
It is a song dedicated to parents who, despite the difficulties, offer love and hope , as well as to the children who try to reciprocate.
Greece at Eurovision
Greece debuted at the Eurovision in 1974 and has won the event once in 2005 when Helena Paparizou stormed to victory in Kyiv with her mega hit ‘ My Number One‘.
Greece enjoyed its golden era at the Eurovision Song Contest from 2004-2013, achieving 9 top 10 placings in the Grand Final, including its 2005 victory. The Mediterranean country has partaken 45 times in our favorite televisision show.
In 2025 Klavdia represented Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest with her iconic entry ‘Asteromata‘, achieving an honourable 6th place in the Grand Final.
