Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest
Sweden joined the family of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958. Since then, the Nordic nation has become one of the contest’s true powerhouses, sharing the record of seven victories with Ireland and achieving numerous very high placements over the decades.
Sweden’s most recent victory came three years ago, in 2023, when Loreen won the contest for the second time with her song Tattoo, making history as the first woman to win Eurovision twice.
Last year, Sweden was represented by the humorous trio KAJ, who finished 4th in the Grand Final with their entry Bara Bada Bastu.
Sweden has been drawn participate in the first half of the first semi-final on 12 May.
