CT, the Czech national broadcaster, has unveiled the Czech Eurovision 2026 act.

Daniel Ziska will have the grand honour of representing Czechia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna next May.

He will perform ‘Crossroads’ in Vienna. Daniel’s Eurovision entry will be premiered on March 11th.

Daniel says:

“Eurovision is a huge platform and a big show. But what I mainly want to bring there is music and emotion. I don’t want to compete hidden behind flashiness and spectacle. I want to stand firmly behind who I am as an artist.”

Kristof Samal (Czech Head of Delegation) says:

When Daniel came into the studio and sang his song straight through on the first try with absolute ease, the room fell completely silent. Not because he was loud, but because he was completely focused and confident. The performance was disarming – technically precise, yet full of emotion. It was clear we were watching an artist who knows exactly who he wants to be

Ceske Televize has selected the Czech ESC 2026 act and entry via an internal selection. Ceske Televize will be broadcasting all three Eurovision 2026 shows (the two semi-finals and Grand Final) on CT 1.

Czechia in Eurovision

Czechia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 with  Kabat and is yet to win the competition. The country achieved its best result in the contest in 2018 when Mikolas Josef placed 6th in Lisbon with his song Lie to me.

The Czechs have partaken in Europe’s favorite television show 12 times, out of which they have only qualified to the Grand Final five times, namely in 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023.

The central European land locked country has not been very lucky in the competition, after three consecutive years of poor results and non-qualification the Czechs withdrew from the contest in 2010 and returned back after a 5 year hiatus in 2016.

In 2025 Czechia was represented by ADONXS with his entry ‘Kiss Kiss Goodbye‘.
