SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, is introducing early voting for the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2026.
SVT and Sweden are working round the clock in order to showcase a magnificent national selection for Eurovision 2026 aka Melodifestivalen 2026.
The Swedish audience will be able to vote for their favourite entries at the Melodifestivalen 2026 Grand Final via the official Melodifestivalen app from Monday 2nd March- Friday 6 March.
Anders Wistbacka (Melodifestivalen Project Manager) says:
A new feature in this year’s final is that we are introducing the possibility of early voting with Radiohjälpsröster in the app. The aim is to give more people the opportunity to vote for their favorite, even those who cannot follow the broadcast live. We are testing this this year and will take the viewers’ feedback into account in how we will continue to develop the voting.
Early voting – this is how it works.
Between Monday 2 March at 09:00 and Friday 6 March at 19:00 it will be possible to vote early for the twelve final entries in the Melodifestivalen app. Early voting only applies to Radiohjälpen votes in the app, and you can vote five times per entry. This means that votes cast during this period will be collected and will be counted in the Radiohjälpen viewer group (viewer group 8) when the votes are compiled during the final.
During the final broadcast on March 7, you can vote in two ways:
- With heart votes in the Melodifestivalen app
- With Radio Help Voices via telephone
Voting round 1:
Early voting with Radiohjälpsröster in the app will be available to everyone. These votes will be counted in voting round 1 during the final. This means that in voting round 1 you have the opportunity to vote:

- five times with Radiohjälpsröster via
telephone during the final broadcast
- five times with heart votes in the app during the final broadcast
