 Peter Hanke (Mobility Minister) says:

The Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna sends a strong signal for Austria as a reliable and committed partner in the heart of Europe. This major event demonstrates that Austria is taking responsibility – culturally and in terms of infrastructure. Modern, climate-friendly mobility is crucial for this: it connects people across borders and represents a transport policy that positions Austria for sustainability and future viability.

Roland Weissmann (ORF General Director) says:

The new locomotive in its Eurovision design will help to raise awareness of the Eurovision Song Contest in Austria and get people across the country in the mood for the event. We are pleased to continue the long-standing, trusting partnership between ORF and ÖBB, which is based on a shared focus on sustainability and has already taken JJ to his Eurovision victory in Basel by train, and will bring numerous fans to Vienna in May – all in a fitting look.

Andreas Mattha (OBB CEO) says:

We transport millions of passengers every day and connect people. The shared motto of our partnership, ‘United by Music – moved by ÖBB,’ sums it up perfectly: music connects, and the railway moves.

Karin Seywald-Czihak (Managing Director of ÖBB-Werbung GmbH) says:

With our high-reach advertising spaces at train stations, we are creating a broad platform that makes the Eurovision Song Contest visible throughout Austria and at the same time underscores ÖBB’s national mobility partnership.
