About the Show
A total of 9 acts will battle for the golden ticket to Vienna at the German national final, which will be held in Berlin.Barbara Schöneberger and Hazel Brugger (Eurovision 2025 co-host) will co-host the competition.
The German national final will consist of 2 stages:
- In the first stage, on February 28th at “Eurovision Song Contest – The German Final 2026,” a distinguished international jury of 20 music experts from 20 Eurovision participating countries will evaluate the nine acts and select their three most promising favorites.
- In the second stage, the public alone will decide which of these three acts receives the coveted ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest and will represent Germany in Vienna in May.
Paola Felix (Switzerland 1969/1980), Michael Schulte (Germany 2018) and Abhor & Tyna (Germany 2025) will be special guests during the show.
