SBS, the Australian national broadcaster, is set to reveal the Australian Eurovision 2026 act very soon, according to Aussie news portal tvtonight.com.au

SBS Channel Manager, Natalie Edgar, shed some light regarding Australia’s Eurovision 2026 act when she spoke to TVTonight Australia and told the news portal that the 2026 Aussie act will be unveiled very soon, without shedding any light regarding the artist:

We’ve been broadcasting Eurovision for over 40 years. And of course, Australia competed in Eurovision for the very first time in Vienna in 2015 so it feels like a nice kind of circle back to where it all began for us. I signed an NDA, but I’ve gotta tell you, it’s really good. I think everyone will be happy.Look, I think you’ll be surprised pleasantly surprised. Let me say that ….

Australia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015, namely in Vienna and this year the contest returns to the majestic Austrian capital again. 2026 will mark Australia’s 11th Eurovision participation and Dami Im celebrates the 10th anniversary of her epic Eurovision participation with the ‘Sound of Silence’ where she achieved an honourable 2nd place in the Grand Final.
