TVR, the Romanian national broadcaster has opened the song submission window for Eurovision 2026 and published the rules and regulations for the 2026 Romanian Eurovision national selection.

Romania is back at the Eurovision Song Contest after a 2 year hiatus. The country will be selecting its Eurovision 2026 act and entry via a televised national final. Seletia Nationala is scheduled to be held on 4th March 2026. A total of 10 acts will compete for the golden ticket to Eurovision 2026 in Vienna.

TVR has opened the song submission window for Eurovision 2026 and published the rules and regulatons of the competition. The song submission window will run from 14 January- 02 February. Singers and composers can submit their songs here.

The 2026 Romanian national selection stages and key dates:

  • • January 14 – February 2, 2026 – registration stage
  • • February 2 – 4, 2026 – registration documents verification stage;
  • • February 5 – 6, 2026 – pre-selection stage
  • • February 6 – announcement of the results of the pre-selection stage
  • • February 9 – 11, 2026 – semi-final audition stage (“Eurovision 2026 Open Workshop”);
  • • February 12, 2026 – announcement of the results of the semi-final (out of all validly entered songs, 10 songs qualify for the final);
  • • February 16 – 18, 2026 – pre-production stage for the National Selection Final for ESC 2026 (meetings of the TVR team with the 10 finalists and their teams);
  • • March 2 – 3, 2026 – rehearsal stage for the National Selection Final for ESC 2026;
  • • March 4, 2026 – final stage of the National Selection for ESC2026 (television show) and announcement of the artistic act that will represent Romania at ESC 2026;
