About the show

A total of 16 acts will compete in the Moldovan national final which will be held at the Chisinau Arena in Chisinau. The 2026 Moldovan Eurovision entry will be determined via a combined international jury, national jury and public voting deliberation.

A grand line up of former Eurovision acts both from Moldova and abroad will be gracing he show as special guests: Zdob și Zdub (Moldova 2005/ 2022 ), Sunstroke Project  (Moldova 2010/2017) , Nelly Ciobanu (Moldova 2009), Natalia Barbu (Moldova 2007/ 2024), Cristina Scarlat (Moldova 2014), DoReDos (Moldova 2018), Aliona Moon (Moldova 2013), Paula Seling (Romania) , Jamala (Ukraine 2016/ESC winner).

Moldova in Eurovision

Moldova debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 with Zdob si Zdub and is yet to win the event. The country achieved its best result in the competition in 2017 when Sunstroke Project placed 3rd in the Grand Final in Kyiv with their entry Hey Mamma!

Moldova has been competing in religiously every year in Europe’s favourite television show since their debut in 2005, namely the country has partaken in the contest 19 times. In 2025 the country withdrew from the contest after having confirmed its participation and organizing a national selection.

In 2024 Natalia Barbu represented Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo with her entry ‘In The Middle’.
