RAI, the Italian national broadcaster, has announced that Laura Pausini ( Eurovision 2022 host) will be co-hosting Sanremo 2026 with Carlo Conti.

RAI and Italy are gearing up in full steam for the upcoming Sanremo 2026 edition. Sanremo 2026 will consist of five televised shows running from 24-28 February.

The internationally accalaimed Italian superstar Laura Pausini, will grand honour of hosting the forthcoming Sanremo Song Festival 2026. She shot to fame back in 1993 when she won Sanremo New Singers Cateogory Contest.

RAI’s press release reads:

Laura Pausini, the world’s most awarded Italian artist, will co-host the five-night Sanremo Music Festival, broadcast live on Rai 1, RaiPlay, and Rai Radio2 from February 24 to 28, alongside artistic director Carlo Conti. Laura Pausini will return to the Ariston Theatre stage for the first time in her most prestigious capacity, following memorable appearances at the start of her career in 1993 and 1994, and six appearances as a special guest between 2001 and 2022.

Carlo Conti says:

I thank Laura for immediately and enthusiastically accepting my invitation. It’s a great honor and a joy to share the festival’s hosting duties with such a strong, charismatic, and entertaining artist and woman as Laura. Each evening, we will be joined by various co-hosts, both male and female, who will enliven the Ariston stage.

Laura Pausini says:

Sanremo is my destiny. My smile. My temptation. My fear. I was born artistically in Sanremo in 1993, and this year I return proud and moved because with all the honor and joy in the world I will host the 76th edition of the Festival with Carlo Conti. First times are never forgotten, and like the first kiss, I feel emotional. I have spent every year of my life watching Sanremo and never thought I would find myself in this role now. I thank Carlo; the respect I have always felt for him has also turned into trust; he has managed to overcome my fear of imagining myself as a host. I can’t wait to have fun and be moved with him by my side.  I will truly do everything I can to live up to this stage, which remains the most important to me.
