LRT, the Lithuanian national broadcaster, has confirmed the hosts for the forthcoming edition of the Lithuanian national selection- EUROVIZIJA.LT.
Gabrielė Martirosian, Rimvydas Černiauskas and Eglė Kernagytė will have the grand honour of hosting EUROVIZIJA.LT.
Egle Kernagte will hosting the competition for the very first time, whilst Rimvydas will be hosting the event for the 2nd time having already hosted it last year. Gebriele will host the national selection for the 6th time.
Egle Kernagyte says:
The invitation to join the Eurovision selection hosts made me very happy. I am looking forward to the filming with a very bright and positive attitude, although I admit that there is also some excitement, it probably couldn’t be otherwise. However, I am trying to cope and I have no doubt that a very interesting adventure full of beautiful music awaits me.I’m always very interested, because it’s a great opportunity to see new artists who are very pleasantly surprising. So it’s always a lot of fun to watch the selection shows, and this year it will be even more fun.
The 2026 Lithuanian national selection will consist of 5 semi-finals and 1 Grand Final depending on the amount of songs submitted. Recordings for the semi-finals will kick off on 14 January, whilst the EUROVIZIJA.LT 2026 Grand Final is scheduled to be held on Saturday 27 February at the Twinsbet Arena in Vilnius.

Lithuania in Eurovision
Lithuania debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 and is yet to win the event. The country achieved its best result at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 when it placed 6th. Lithuania has competed 25 times at our beloved contest.
In 2025 Katarsis represented the Baltic nation at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel with their entry ‘Tavo Akys’.
