Farewell to 2025! A warm welcome to 2026! One more year has gone by, one more Eurovision season is over thus making way to the 2026 season. We will be heading to Vienna, Austria in the new year!

In 2026, we will be travelling to the Alps for the Eurovision Song Contest, namely to Austria which will be hosting the competition for the third time in Eurovision history.
Eurovision fans will be more than happy to travel to the majestic imperial capital city of Austria, namely to Vienna, one of the most iconic cities in Europe. Vienna will have the grand honour of welcoming the Eurovision Song Contest for the third time.

2026 will be taking us to the land of Swarovski Crystals, Red Bull, Sachertorte, Wiener Schnitzel, Apfelstrudel, Schnapps, Mannerschnitten, Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Brucker, Vienna Choir Boys, Empress Sissi, Hofburg Palace, Schönbrunn Palace, Alps, Viennese Waltz, Imperial Austria, The Sound of Music, Conchita Wurst, Wiener Philarmonic Orchestra, Gustav Klimt, Johan Strauss, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Graz, Spanish Riding School, Vienna Choir Boys, Austrian Alps, etc. Yes, we are talking about none other than Austria and its majestic capital Vienna- host city for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest, where a total of 35 countries are scheduled to compete at the Wiener Stadthalle on 12, 14 and 16 May!
The Eurovision bandwagon will be heading back to Austria after 11 years, as the last time when the country hosted the competition was back in 2015 when Vienna welcomed the international music festival at the Wiener Stadthalle. We will be heading back to the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna again!

The 2026 Eurovision season has already kicked off. Hence we already know the representatives of the following countries: Albania, Cyprus and Montenegro.
National finals for the 2026 Eurovision season kicked off in 2025 and more national finals and special presentation shows are scheduled to be held all over Europe in January, February and March.
A total of 35 countries will partake in our beloved contest this year. Monaco, Andorra, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovakia, Hungary, North Macedonia, Spain, Slovenia, Ireland, Iceland, The Netherlands and Turkey will not to return to the contest in 2025. We will be welcoming Moldova, Bulgaria and Romania back to the competition with open arms after their absence from the contest.
