Montenegro has selected its Eurovision Song Contest 2026 representative after Montesong 2025 concluded tonight, with Tamara Živković winning the national final and earning the ticket to Vienna with the song Nova zora. The result brings a thrilling end to Montenegro’s national selection on 21 December 2025.

The grand final of Montesong 2025 took place at the RTCG studios in Podgorica, with 20.00 CET (21.00 local time) marking the start of a competitive show featuring 15 acts competing for the honour of representing Montenegro at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

Tamara captures the crown

After an exciting night of performances judged by both an expert jury and the public, Tamara Živković emerged as the winner with her song Nova zora. The victory means she will carry Montenegro’s hopes to Vienna, Austria, for the 70th edition of Eurovision in May.

Nova zora stood out in a field of diverse styles and voices, delivering a memorable performance that connected strongly with viewers and jurors alike. Montenegro’s selection process this year combined jury votes and public input, 50% from a professional jury and 50% from the public, split between SMS and online voting, giving both experts and fans a voice in choosing the winner.

Montenegro’s journey at Eurovision

Montenegro has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest since 2007 and has used Montesong to select its entries in recent years. After recent challenges qualifying for the Grand Final, the country will now look to break through once again in 2026, with hopes that Nova zora resonates on the international stage.

With the national final wrapped up and Montenegro’s entry confirmed, attention now turns to preparations for Vienna 2026, where Tamara Živković – Nova zora will take to the Eurovision stage aiming to bring Montenegro one step closer to a Grand Final appearance.
