PBS, the Maltese national broadcaster, has unveiled the names of the eighteen MESC 2026 competing acts.
Malta is working round the clock in its preparations for Eurovision 2026 with preparations for its national selection, MESC, in full swing.
The MESC 2026 semi-finalists:

- Kelsie Borg – “Let a girl breathe”
- Matthew Cilia – “Brutality mentality”
- Matt Blxck – “Ejja lejja ħdejja ‘l hawn (The flute)”
- Rhiannon Micallef – “Hold myself up”
- Mychael Bartolo Chircop – “My sweet angel”
- Aidan – “Bella”
- Denise – “Trophy”

MESC 2026
MESC 2026 will be held on 15th and 17th January. MESC 2026 will consist of two televised shows a semi-final and a grand final with a total of 18 acts competing.
- 15/01/2026- MESC 2026 Semi-final
- 17/01/2026- MESC 2026 Grand Final
18 songs will compete in the semi-final on January 15th, the top 12 acts after a jury/public voting deliberation will proceed to the grand final which is scheduled to be held on 17th January.
Malta in Eurovision
Malta debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1971 and is yet to win the competition. The Mediterranean island’s best result in the competition has been a second placing achieved in 2002 (Ira Losco) and 2005 (Chiara).
Malta has competed 37 times at the Eurovision Song Contest, next year will mark the country’s 38th ESC participation.
In 2025 Miriana Conte represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel with her entry ‘Serving‘.
