CyBC, the Cypriot national broadcaster, has launched a questionaire for Eurovision 2026 inviting the Cypriot public and fans to share their opionions on the pontential Cypriot Eurovision 2026 hopeful.

CyBC and Cyprus are preparing in full swing for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria. Cyprus will yet again determine its Eurovision act and entry via an internal selection. The Cypriot national broadcaster is currently process of selecting the 2026 Cypriot Eurovision entry and act.

CyBC has launched a questionaire inviting fans and the Cypriot public to voice their opions on the ideal Cypriot ESC 2026 candidate and entry.

The questionaire will be open until 6 November. CyBC wants to hear the voice of the public and wants them to share their thoughts regarding the potential Cypriot Eurovision 2026 entry and act. Should it be a new emerging artist or a famous established artist? Should the song be a pop, ethnnic-folk, ballad, dance-electronic, rock, etc? Should the staging be grand or simple? Should the act be male, female, duet or a band? Should the song be uptempo, mid tempo or a ballad? Should the song be in Greek, English or a combination of Greek and English? etc.

Cyprus in Eurovision

Cyprus debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981 and is yet to win the event. The country achieved its best results in the contest in 2018 when Eleni Foureira placed 2nd in Lisbon with her mega hit ‘Fuego’. The Mediterranean island has partaken in our beloved competition 41 times.

In 2025 the supremely talented Theo Evan represented Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest with his entry ‘Shh’.
