ERR, the Estonian national broadcaster, has received a total of 171 songs for Eesti Laul 2026.

Estonia is gearing up in full swing for Eurovision 2026. ERR has received a total of 171 songs for its national selection – Eesti Laul 2026. 77 songs have been submitted in Estonian and 94 songs in foreign languages. Songs have been submitted from Estonian authors and from authors as far as Australia and Brazil.

Now a 34 member expect jury will listen to all the submitted entries and whittle them down to 12 songs.

Karmel Killandi ( ERR Editor in Chief of Entertainment) says:

I am very glad that Tommy Cash did not scare away the artists with his great success, but instead encouraged them.

Rinn Vann (Eesti Laul Producer) says:

The interaction with our musicians shows how important a platform like Eesti Laul is. The upcoming season promises to be full of excitement and surprises.

The lineup of artists and composers who submitted songs to the contest is impressive, and considering that there are only 12 places in the final, exceptionally close competition is expected.

ERR is expected to unveil the competing acts at Eesti Laul 2026 by early November and will release the competing songs in early December.

A total of 12 acts will battle for the golden ticket to Eurovision 2026 at the Estonian national final- Eestil Laul 2026. The event is scheduled to be held at the Unibet Arena in Tallin on 14th February 2026.
