JJ, the reigning Eurovision 2025 champion, has revealed today that he will not host Eurovision 2026 but will be setting his eyes on performing during the show.

JJ released his brand new single ‘ Back to Forgetting’ today, he was invited to Hit radio Ö3’s show where he spoke all things Eurovision and shed more light on his new single and upcoming projects and plans.

During the ESC 2025 winner’s press conference JJ said that he would love to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 next year. It seems he has dropped this idea due to to his busy schedule, he won’t have time for the hosting rehearsals as he will be tied up working on his upcoming new music.

JJ is currently busy writing his new EP and is working on releasing new music. He hopes his new EP is ready by May when the Eurovision Song Contest takes place. An EP normally includes 4-6 songs.

During the interview JJ confirmed that he won’t be hosting the forthcoming 2026 Eurovision Song Contest but will concentrate on performing during the show. He plans to perform a new version of his Eurovision winning entry ‘Wasted Love’ and a brand new unreleased song at Eurovision 2026, but this time outside of the competition.
