The City of Vienna has unveiled the location for the Eurovsion 2026 Turquoise Carpet location.
The 2026 Eurovision Turquoise Carpet will be located at the iconic Rathausplatz (City Hall Square) in the heart of Vienna just a skip, hop and jump from down town. The event is scheduled to be held will be held on Sunday 10 May and will be broadcast live on tv on ORF.
The delegations and artists will walk from the main stage at the Rathausplatz on to the Turquoise Carpet which will be winding around the City Hall in a semi-circle. Circa 1,000 Eurovision fans will be able to meet and greet their favourite artists.
The Opening Ceremony and Welcome reception will be held at the Vienna City Hall which is adjacent to the City Hall Square.

The official kickoff of ESC week will be the Opening Ceremony at Vienna City Hall. During the Turquoise Carpet, each country’s delegation will present themselves to the audience one after the other on the large show stage set up directly in front of City Hall. Each delegation will walk from the large show stage once across the Turquoise Carpet, which winds its way around City Hall Square in a semicircle. There, up to a thousand ESC fans will have the opportunity to interact with their favorite artists.

Afterwards, the Opening Ceremony will be broadcast live from the historic halls on the first floor of the Town Hall on LED screens at Town Hall Square. DJs will provide musical entertainment and a perfect ESC atmosphere.
What will happen at the Turquoise Carpet?
During the Turquoise Carpet event, competing acts at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest will be able to meet and greet their fans and the assembled press. The 2026 Eurovision hopefuls will be seen in their best attire and designer outfits.
At the opening ceremony, the Mayor of Vienna and officials from ORF, EBU and the City of Vienna will officially welcome the 2026 Eurovision participating countries, delegations and artists to Vienna.
The 2026 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled on 12, 14 and 16 May at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna.
