TRM, the Moldovan national broadcaster, has confirmed that Moldova will compete at the forthcoming 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Austria.
Thus Moldova joins the list of countries who have so far confirmed their participation at the upcoming 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Austria.
Thus Moldova will be returning the contest after a year’s absence from the competition.
The country will select its Eurovision act and entry via a national selection as has been the case in recent years. TRM will open the song submission window for the Moldovan ESC 2026 national selection on 7 November. Artists will be able to send it their entries to TRM via [email protected]
TRM has also announced that Serghei Orlov and Roman Burlaca will be the official producers of the Moldovan national selection for Eurovision 2026.

Moldova in Eurovision
Moldova debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 with Zdob si Zdub and is yet to win the event. The country achieved its best result in the competition in 2017 when Sunstroke Project placed 3rd in the Grand Final in Kyiv with their entry Hey Mamma!
Moldova has been competing in religiously every year in Europe’s favourite television show since their debut in 2005, namely the country has partaken in the contest 19 times. In 2025 the country withdrew from the contest after having confirmed its participation and organizing a national selection.
In 2024 Natalia Barbu represented Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo with her entry ‘In The Middle’.
