Switzerland has kicked off its search for the 2026 Swiss Eurovision act and has published the details regarding the selection process. Who will follow into Zoe Me’s footsteps and fly the Swiss flag at next year’s Eurovision edition in Austria?

Artists wishing to represent Switzerland at the forthcoming 2026 Eurovision Song Contest can submit their entries to SRF from 04 August- 25 August 2025. Artists, composers and producers are invited to submit their songs to the Swiss national broadcaster.

The 2026 Swiss Eurovision entry and act will be determined via the same mechanism which has been used in previous years- a multi stage public and expert jury deliberation. The 2025 Swiss song selection for Eurovision will be jointly organized by SRF, RTS, RTR and RSI.

SRF has published the rules and regulations for the Eurovision 2026 Swiss song and artist selection

Yves Schifferle ( Swiss Head of Delegation/ SRG-SSR) says:

The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel and Nemo’s victory in 2024 have demonstrated the creative potential that lies within Switzerland. We want to build on this momentum and consistently pursue our strategy of strengthening the Swiss music scene nationally and positioning it internationally. We are not resting on our laurels, but are entering the next round with full energy and enthusiasm.

The 2026 Swiss Eurovision act and entry will be revealed in early 2026.

SRF’s official press release reads:

Switzerland will also participate in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2026. Following the successful placings of Luca Hänni with “She Got Me” (4th place, 2019), Gion’s Tears with “Tout l’univers” (3rd place, 2021), Nemo’s 2024 victory with “The Code,” and Zoë Më with “Voyage” last May at the home Eurovision Song Contest in Basel (10th place), the search is now underway for the Swiss Eurovision Song Contest song for 2026.

From August 4 at 9:00 a.m. to August 25, 2025, at 11:00 p.m., artists, producers, songwriters, and lyricists are invited to submit their song for Switzerland to the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest. Applications are not open to the public.

SRF’s official press release continues to read:

As in previous years, the Swiss entry will be selected in a multi-stage selection process by audience and expert juries. In addition to a Swiss audience jury, international audience judges will also determine who will represent Switzerland with which song at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Austria.

The audience juries are complemented by a 25-member international jury of experts who have already demonstrated their expertise as members of the respective Eurovision national juries.

As in the previous year, SRF is implementing the selection process in collaboration with the market research institute YouGov Switzerland

The winning song and artist will be announced in early 2026. The selection and support of the Swiss act at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest will be jointly realized by SRF, RTS, RSI, and RTR.
