RTS, the Serbian national broadcaster, has confirmed that Serbia will participate at the forthcoming 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Austria.
Thus Serbia joins the list of countries who have so far confirmed their participation at the upcoming Eurovision 2026 edition.
It is more than likely that Serbia will select its Eurovision act and entry for Eurovision 2026 via its traditional national selection PZE. More details regarding the 2026 Serbian Eurovision mechanism will be published in due course.
Duska Vucinic (Serbian Head of Media/ Commentator at ESC) told RTS during a morning show that Serbia will not be withdrawing from the Eurovision Song Contest despite the country’s poor results in the contest this year. She went on to state that the Eurovision Song Contest in Serbia enjoys great viewership.
Serbia at Eurovision
Serbia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest as a solo country in 2007 and walked away with the coveted trophy when Marija Serifovic was crowned the winner with her melodic ballad Molitva. The country successfully hosted the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade the following year, when the EBU introduced two semi-finals in the competition.
The Balkan country has partaken in Europe’s favourite television show 18 times. In 2025 Princ represented Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel with his entry ‘Mila’.
