France and Switzerland were awarded the 2025 Marcel Bezençon Awards this year in Basel.

As per custom, the Marcel Bezençon Awards, are held annually before the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest.

The Marcel Bezençon Awards are dertermined by the accredited press (Press Award), participating composers (Compser Award) and commentators (Artistic Award) on the eve of the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final.

A special ceremony was held at the St. Jakobshalle on Saturday where Christer Bjorkman announced the winners and presented the awards to the winners.

This year the awards went:

  • The Press Award – Louane (Maman)- France
  • The Artistic Award– Loune (Maman)- France
  • The Composer Award– Zoe Me, Emily Middlemas, Tom Oehler  (Voyage)- Switzerland

France 2025 (Louane)

Louane represented France at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest with her entry ‘Maman’. She achieved an honourable 7th place in the Grand Final.

Switzerland (Zoe Me)

Zoe Me represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel with her entry ‘Voyage’, achieving a 10th place in the Grand Final.
