A lot has been going on in Basel and online in the aftermath of the first semi final of Eurovision 2025. Ten acts have qualified to this Saturday’s Grand Final, while five were on stage for the last time since they did not advance. As it frequently happens, the bookmakers can only predict some of the qualifiers accurately.

Norway, Albania, Sweden, Iceland, Netherlands, Poland, San Marino, Estonia and Portugal have validated their ticket to the Grand Final of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland. Many fans in the arena held their breath as Belgium was not announced as the 10th and last qualifier at the end of the night. This despite the fact that Red Sebastian was sitting in fifth place overall in the betting odds, with positive outlook. He had been surging since the Belgian delegation first performed on stage in Basel and many were starting to considering Strobe lights as a potential contender.

Well, none of this. Instead Belgium will watch the Grand Final on television together with Slovenia, Croatia, Azerbaijan and Cyprus, who also missed out on a qualifying ticket.

The betting odds for semi final 2

So what can Eurofans expect from the second semi final. Overall the most notable move is the one of the Netherlands, now in fourth position overtaking Israel. Claude is now given a 6% chance of winning the Crystal trophy. Albania and Malta have now joined the top ten, in positions number 9 and 10 respectively.

Italy’s Lucio Corsi has seen his odds improving slightly, moving from the 14th to the 12th position in the last day. Home country Switzerland has consolidated its position in the top 10, now in 7th place, moving up one spot due to the elimination of Belgium.

Sweden is still leading the odds, consolidating at 42% of winning chances, with a solid lead of Austria, who has increased slightly from 19% to 21%.

The two-horse race seems to gain even more ground, according to bookmakers.
