KAN, the Israeli national broadcaster, has announced that Yuval Raphael’s Eurovision entry has been appproved by the EBU.

Yuval Raphael was crowned the winner of the The Next Eurovision Star and will be representing Israel at the forthcoming 2025 Eurovision Song Contest.

The EBU has approved the lyrics and title of the Israeli 2025 Eurovision entry. KAN will be submitting the song to the EBU along with its official music video in the coming weeks.

The 2025 Israeli Eurovision hopeful will be releasing her Eurovision 2025 entry on 9 March 2025. Her Eurovision song has been penned and composed by Keren Peles, who was also behind Eden Golan’s Eurovision entry ‘Hurricane‘.

The 2025 Israeli Eurovision entry will be premiered during a special show ‘Our Song For Eurovision’ broadcast on KAN 11, KAN Gimmel and KAN Box.

Yuval’s Eurovision song chosen unanimously by a panel of judges which was headed by Barak Itzkowitz (director of Kan’s music station), and included senior music editors from the Israel Broadcasting Corporation, senior figures from the Israeli music and television industry and a public representative.

The 2025 Israeli Eurovision entry includes lyrics from the ‘Song of Songs‘.

Israel at Eurovision

Israel debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1973 and has won the competition four times (1978, 1979, 1998, 2018) and has hosted the event thrice  (Jerusalem 1979, 1999 and Tel Aviv 201).
