About the Show

A total of 9 acts will be competing during tonight’s show. The winner will represent Norway at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel.

The show will be hosted by Marte Stokstad, Tete Lidbom and Markus Neby. MGP 2025 will be held at the Oslo Spektrum in Oslo, Norway. We have 2 former Norwegian acts vying to return to Eurovision for the second time: Wigwam (Norway 2005) and Bobbysocks (Norway 1985/ ESC winner).

The 2025 Norwegian Eurovision act and entry will be determined via a combined international jury (40%) and public voting (60%) deliberation.

The 2024 Norwegian act Gate will be perfoming during the interval of the show.

Participants

Norway in Eurovision

Norway debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1960 and has won the competition thrice: 1985 (Bobbysocks), 1995 (Secret Garden) and 2009 (Alexander Rybak).

The Nordic country has successfully hosted the competition thrice, once in Bergen and twice in Oslo and has partaken in Europe’s favorite television show 62 times.

Gate represented Norway at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest with their epic entry ‘Ulveham’.
