Hello Finland! What a show tonight live from Nokia Arena in Tampere! The Nordic country has its representative to Eurovision 2025. The Grand Final of UMK 2025 saw the triumph of Erika Vikman with the entry ICH KOMME.
The 2025 edition of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu belongs to the history books. YLE, the Finnish national broadcaster, brought together a sensational show to select the Finnish entry to Eurovison next May in Basel, Switzerland. Co-hosts SANNI and Jasmi Beloued took viewers in Finland and beyond through six amazing performances of tonight’s finalists.

Europe, we have a winner!
The winner of UMK 2025 was decided via a joint deliberation of the international jury and the public vote.

- Nelli Matula – Hitaammin Hautaan – 50 points
- costee – Sekaisin – 40 points
- VIIVI – Aina – 38 points

At the end of an exciting voting sequence the co-hosts announced Erika Vikman winner of UMK 2025 with 430 points. Erika Vikman is due to represent Finland at Eurovision 2025 during the second half of the second semi-final on Thursday 15 May.

Finland at Eurovision
Finland debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961 and has won the competition once, namely in 2006 when Lordi brought the coveted trophy to home soil for the very first time with Hard Rock Hallelujah. The Nordic country has competed 57 times in Europe’s favorite television show.
In 2024 Windows95man represented the Nordic country in Malmö, Sweden, reaching the 19th place in the Grand Final with 38 points with the entry No rules!
