SRF, the Swiss German speaking broadcaster, has unveiled that the internationally acclaimed Swiss designer will dress the Eurovision 2025 hosts in Basel.

The 33 year old Swiss fashion designer hails from the canton of Valois. He is famed for his innovative and sustainable designs. He shot to fame on the international scene in 2022 when he showcased his designs at the Paris Fashion Week.

SRF describes Germanier’s designs:

Germanier’s designs are characterised by the creative use of upcycling, whereby he transforms surplus fabrics and unused materials into glamourous and colourful fashion creations.

Germanier also designed the costumes for the performers at the 2024 Olympic Games Opening and Closing ceremonies.

He has designed for many international celebrities including Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Bjork.

The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 13, 15 and 17 May at the St.Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland.
