The 2025 edition of the Melodifestival tour contains an exciting mix of new and old host cities from north to south. The festivities start on January 31 in Luleå and then continue to Gothenburg, Västerås, Malmö and Jönköping and end, according to tradition, with the grand finale in Stockholm on March 8.

Melodifestivalen has long been Sweden’s biggest folk festival and continues year after year to deliver a magical show filled with joy, music and excitement. 2025 will be no exception, with stops from Norrland to Skåne and arenas full of dedicated fans, glitter and cheers. On site, the audience gets a unique opportunity to participate in the creation of what has become Sweden’s greatest musical experience. From glamorous live performances to the excitement when the winners are announced, Melodifestivalen is an event that brings generations together and offers unforgettable moments.

Tickets will be up for grabs for a total of 18 shows:

• Semi-final #1: Luleå (31 January & 1 February) Coop Norrbotten Arena
• Semi-final #2: Gothenburg (7–8 February) Scandinavium
• Semi-final #3: Västerås (14–15 February) ABB Arena Syd
• Semi-final #4 : Malmö (21–22 February) Malmö Arena

Melodifestivalen 2025

Melodifestivalen 2025 will be travelling to Luleå, Gothenburg, Västerås, Malmö, Jönköping and Stockholm and is set to kick off on Saturday 1 February 2025 and conclude on Saturday 8 March 2025.

• 15/02/2025- Melodifestivalen 2025- Semi-final #3- Vasteras
• 22/02/2025- Melodifestivalen 2025- Semi-final #4-Malmo
• 01/03/2025- Melodifestivalen 2025- Semi-final #5- Jonkoping
• 08/03/2025- Melodifestivalen 2025- Grand Final- Stockholm

Sweden will determine its Eurovision 2025 act and entry on Saturday 8 March during the Melodifestivalen Grand Final.

Melodifestivalen 2025

Melodifestivalen 2025 will consist of 6 live televised shows ( 5 semi-finals  and a Grand Final)

A total of 30 songs will compete in the Swedish national selection, 6 songs will compete in each of the five semi-finals,  a total of 12 songs will compete at the Melodifestivalen 2025 Grand Final for the golden ticket to Switzerland. The 2025 Swedish Eurovision entry will be determined via a mixed public televoting/international jury deliberation.
